Kaolin iron remover
A series of magnetic separation tests were conducted on five different types of kaolin clays representing the world's major kaolin deposits to remove mineral contaminants from kaolin. The test was carried out in a superconducting magnetic separator operating at a magnetic field of 2.0 T to 8.0 T. The results show that as the magnetic field increases to 8T, the extraction has a tendency to gradually improve. This is the highest magnetic field separator known to use. These results are consistent with the fact that the extracted impurities are paramagnetic and are not saturated under the field strength of the test. A practical conclusion is that a higher magnetic field can produce better mass, increased flux, or a longer duty cycle as the magnetic field increases.
