The thickness of the feed layer is related to the particle size of the material being processed and the content of the magnetic mineral.

The content of magnetic minerals: the content of magnetic minerals is proportional to the thickness of the feed layer. When the content of magnetic minerals is small, the corresponding feed layer should be thinner. If it is too thick, the magnetic particles in the lowermost layer are not only subjected to magnetic force. Small, and in addition to its own weight, it is also subject to the pressure of the above non-magnetic ore particles, reducing the recovery rate of magnetic products.

Raw material particle size: The thickness of the ore layer for processing coarse-grained raw materials is thicker than that of fine-grained raw materials. For example, when processing coarse grade, the thickness of the feedstock should not exceed 1.5 times of the maximum particle size, while the thickness of the feed layer is treated at the middle level. It can reach about four times the maximum granularity, and the fine level can reach about ten times.
