PTMS magnetic separation
what is magnetic separation in science?
The vein quartz is mainly formed in the Archean. It is formed by the hot aqueous solution of SiO2 secreted by the underground magma. The appearance is milky white, white, dense and hard. Quartz is crystalline. The crystal grains are coarse and larger than 2 m m. The chemical composition is very pure, the SiO2 content is over 99%, and the impurity composition is small.
The distribution of vein quartz: vein quartz is often symbiotic with crystal, and the quartz crystals are produced in the regions where crystals are produced at home and abroad. The quartz veins are mostly vein-shaped, kennel-like, lenticular, and some are bifurcations. Rice, tens of meters to tens of meters thick. The scale is mainly small, and all of them are produced in metamorphic rocks, structural crevices of eclogites or both in the contact zone.
Application of pulse quartz: Pulse quartz is a kind of high quality silicon raw material. Due to its relatively small SiO2 content, it is mainly used to produce high purity quartz, special glass and optical components.
Purification of vein quartz:
The main impurity minerals in general vein quartz are: potassium feldspar, nano feldspar, biotite, muscovite, followed by magnetite, limonite, ilmenite, pyrite, hematite, chromite spinel Nearly 20 kinds of brown curtain ore and zircon. The main impurity elements are AI, Fe, Ca, K, Na, etc. The most important reason for the change of chemical composition in quartz is that AI replaces Si in the crystal lattice, and the electricity-compensating ions thus introduced, such as K, Na, Li, and the like. In general, AI is the most important impurity element, and Fe is the most common and most harmful element.
Purification of vein quartz generally surrounds washing, grading, scrubbing, floating washing, pickling, magnetic separation, and microbial leaching.
