what is magnetic separation process?
The magnetic separator is mainly composed of a cylinder, a magnetic system, a tank body and a transmission part. The cylinder is rolled into a cylinder from a 2-3 mm stainless steel plate, and the end cap is a cast aluminum piece which is connected to the cylinder by a stainless steel screw. The motor drives the cylinder to make a rotary motion through the reducer. The magnetic system is an open magnetic system and is housed in a cylinder. The magnetic block is mounted on the bottom plate of the yoke by a stainless steel bolt, the shaft of the yoke protrudes out of the tube, and the arm end is fixed with a turning arm. Pull the arm to adjust the magnetic system yaw angle. After adjustment, it can be fixed with the lever. The working area of the tank is made of stainless steel, and the rest of the frame and the tank are welded with ordinary steel. According to the structure of the tank, the magnetic separator is divided into three types: forward flow, reverse flow and semi-reverse flow. The particle size of the three different tank type magnetic separators is as follows: the downstream tank is ≤6mm, the counterflow tank is ≤1.5mm, and the semi-reverse tank is ≤0.5mm. The downstream magnetic separator has large processing capacity and is suitable for treatment. The rough selection and selection of coarse-grained ferromagnetic materials can also be carried out in series. When the amount of ore is high, the magnetic ore particles are easily lost to the tailings. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the operation management and control the lower level of the slurry. The countercurrent magnetic separator is suitable for rough selection and sweeping of fine-grained ferromagnetic minerals, and the recovery rate is high, but the concentrate grade is low. The countercurrent type magnetic separator is not suitable for processing coarse material because the coarse material is easy to deposit and block the sorting space. The semi-reverse flow magnetic separator can obtain high-quality iron concentrate, and at the same time, it can get better recovery rate, so the semi-reverse flow magnetic separator is widely used in production practice. It is suitable for the rough selection and selection of ore particles below 0.5mm, and multiple series and parallel connections for multiple sweeps and selections.
