Quatz sandstone is an important raw material of glass. The main recovered component in the quartz sandstone ore of a factory is SiO2, with a content of 96.77%, which exists in the form of quartz. According to the general industrial index requirements of the geological exploration of the glassy siliceous raw material deposit, impurities Fe2O3<0.05%, Al2O3<1.00%, Fe2O3 is the main impurity in the quartz sandstone. It can be seen from the results that the content of impurity Fe2O3 does not change much after the +0.1mm product after grinding and scrubber classification is processed by high intensity magnetic separation. The microscopic identification of quartz sand concentrate obtained by magnetic separation shows that the main iron minerals in it are limonite and pyrite, and hematite is rare. The particle size of limonite is 0.01~0.03mm, and the particle size of pyrite is <0.02mm. The limonite and pyrite are mainly wrapped in quartz, and occasionally limonite and quartz are poor. Quartz sand has strict requirements on the particle size of the product, and this intergeneration relationship is difficult to be completely dissociated, so PTMS magnetic separator has little effect on the purification of the ore.
