electromagnetic separation
Siferite (FeCO3) has a density of (3.7-3.9)×103kg/m3 and a specific magnetic susceptibility of (35-150)×10-9m3/kg. Most of the disseminated particles are fine (if magnetized roasting is conducted, the crystal lattice of gaseous volatile magnetite is finer after roasting), with complex composition and low grade. Iron mainly exists in the form of iron carbonate. With a theoretical grade of 48.2%, PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside.
PTMS Magnetic Separator
Part of siderite is magnesium and manganese siderite due to the substitution of Mg2+ and Mn2+ for Fe2+ to form the isomorphic image, and occurs in hematite (brown) and magnetite, part of even limonite, resulting in the theoretical grade is usually between 32% and 48%, such iron grade is difficult to be accepted by iron and steel companies. PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside.
what is magnetic bead separation ?
Because siderite comes from their own mines, some companies reluctantly use siderite concentrate with mineral fine powder in order not to waste resources. However, in the process of use, it is found that the sinter strength will be significantly affected when the dosage reaches 7%-8%. Therefore, siderite must be magnetized by roasting to change FeCO3 phase into Fe203, and then use PTMS magnetic separator to recover natural minerals.
