(1) Reverse flotation requires fine grinding of ore. Generally, the ore size of flotation is within the range of 85 ~ 95% to 200 objects. The finer the particle size is, the higher the grade of concentrate is obtained. For +0.06 mm quartz particles, often because of insufficient cationic activation or insufficient amount of collector can not float, residue in the tank affects the quality of concentrate. If the mineral monomer dissociation is not good, there may also be a low grade concentrate, high grade tailings phenomenon, and tailings (foam products) after several scavenging is difficult to reduce the iron content. PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside.

(2) Commonly used anionic collectors are fatty acids and their soaps. It is proved that unsaturated fatty acid and naphthenic acid have better collecting effect on quartz than saturated fatty acid. Therefore, recommended tar oil, crude sulfate soap and alkali residue are often used as collectors for PTMS in test or production. PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside.

（3）The activator of quartz is calcium oxide or calcium chloride, and the suitable pH of calcium ion living fossil ying is 11.5. The pulp pH value is too low, the inhibition of iron minerals and quartz activation are not good, the phenomenon of low grade concentrate, high grade tailings.
