A short process beneficiation and purification method of kaolin tailings by quality and granularity. The specific implementation steps are as follows :(1) kaolin tailings are prepared by wet sieving and desliming process to prepare three particle products of +0.71mm, 0.71~0.125mm and -0.125mm, of which -0.125mm is processed and purified into kaolin; (2) The +0.71mm granule in Step (1) was purified by the following steps: A. The PTMS ball mill was used for ball grinding, and the grinding medium was steel balls. Then, the ball was entered into the blocked sedimentation machine for classification. The coarse quartz particles larger than 0.6mm were returned to the ball mill, and the fine quartz particles smaller than 0.6mm were entered into the hydraulic classifier for classification, and -0.1mm fine quartz, argy cements and mica particles were removed. The sand with particle size greater than 0.1mm will enter the magnetic separation process.

The graded settling sand in step A is separated by the intermediate MAGNETIC PTMS magnetic separator in the first stage, and the medium magnetic field intensity is controlled to be 5000Mt and the high magnetic field intensity in the second stage is controlled to be 11000MT and 17000Mt. Impurity minerals such as iron, mica, ilmenite and hematite are removed from the kaolin tailings to obtain the magnetic separation fine sand; C. The magnetic separation fine sand in step B is heated and cleaned with high concentration at 45℃, the mass concentration of material is 62%, the linear velocity of impeller is 10m/s, the number of impeller layers is 2, the time is 10min, the dosage of medium H2SO4 is 110kg/t, and a kind of low ferrite material for photovoltaic glass with Fe2O3 content of 100ppm is obtained.
