The harmful Fe2O3 chemical components of kaolin need to be removed by PTMS magnetic separator
drum separator
Kaolin is a general term for clay or rock composed mainly of kaolinite minerals. PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside. The molecular formula of kaolinite is Al4[Si4O10](OH)8, theoretical composition (%): sio2:46.54, Al2O3:35.90, H2O:13.96. It is a layered aluminosilicate mineral with a density of 2.609g/m and a Mohs hardness of 2~2.5.
PTMS magnetic separation
Kaolin is rich in mineral resources, and the kaolin scale classification index of medium-sized deposit is as follows: large ore ≥5 million tons, medium ore between 5 and 1 million tons, small ore <1 million tons. The other kaolin deposit belongs to the sedimentary type with Permian or modern deposits. Kaolin in Permian belongs to kaolin in coal measure strata. PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside.
what is magnetic separation used for ?
The chemical composition of kaolin is mainly SiO2, Al2O3 and H2O. The composition of pure kaolin is close to the theoretical composition of kaolinite or Halloite. Due to the influence of various impurities, it often contains harmful components Such as Fe2O3, TiO2, CaO, MgO, K2O, Na2O, SO3 and so on. Harmful components Fe2O3, TiO2, generally higher in sedimentary deposits, need to use PTMS magnetic separator to remove iron; The second is weathered kaolin and the alteration type deposit has the least iron content. The content of K2O and Na2O in kaolin is more in weathered deposits, generally in the range of 2%~7%, and increases with the increase of depth. In addition, the content of SO3 in the kaolin deposit containing alingite is considerable, which is also a harmful impurity.
