Magnetic separation process

Screening of raw ore and grading of tailings can not only provide suitable size for subsequent processes, but also effectively remove iron minerals by PTMS Magnetic Separator. The tailings under the screen is used as the raw material for the subsequent separation process. Due to the iron impurity minerals such as hematite, hornblende and garnet in the raw ore, they all belong to strong magnetic minerals, which can be removed by strong magnetic method.

PTMS magnetic separator

Flat ring wet PTMS Magnetic Separator with a Magnetic field strength of 1.3T is used. After the quartz sand is pre-graded, the processed tailings are screened. The results of magnetic separation show that when the magnetic field strength is 13000(Oe) and the concentration is 65%, the SiO2 of quartz sand concentrate (non-magnetic substance) is 91.92%, and the yield of magnetic separation is 77.89%. At the same time, the Fe2O3 in magnetic products and middles is enriched to a greater extent, indicating that magnetic separation has a significant role in promoting the refinement of quartz sand.

The optimum conditions of each flotation process were selected for comprehensive flotation process test and the results of comprehensive flotation process test were obtained. It can be seen from the experimental results that after the comprehensive flotation process of the quartz sand after iron removal by PTMS Magnetic Separator, the SiO2 grade of the flotation refined quartz sand is 97.05%, the yield is 56.79%, and the recovery is 64.83.
