Dry PTMS Magnetic Separator is generally used to crush the mined raw ore to about 25mm through the crusher, and then into the cage crusher to reduce the particle size to about 6mm. The hot air blown into the cage crusher reduces the moisture content of kaolin from about 20% to about 10% at the time of extraction. The crushed ore is further refined by a blown Raymond mill equipped with a centrifuge and a cyclone dust collector.

Wet PTMS Magnetic Separator processing technology includes several stages, such as slurry dispersion, classification, impurity separation and product treatment. The general principle of the process is: raw ore → crushing → pulping → de-sanding → cyclone classification → stripping → centrifuge classification → magnetic separation (or bleaching)→ concentration → filtration → drying → ceramic or paper coating grade products.

The kaolin treated with PTMS Magnetic Separator is coated with coupling agent to increase the amount of kaolin in plastic rubber, which is used to treat the kaolin filler for rubber plastic. When calcined at 800 ~ 1000℃, kaolin loses water, phase transformation, and some impurities volatilize, improve the whiteness and insulation of kaolin, and produce cable and rubber plastic filler. Calcination is a necessary processing method for coal measures (hard) kaolin.
