In the wet beneficiation process fine particles are fed into a high-gradient PTMS Magnetic Separator to remove Fe Ti impurities
Magnetic magnetic separator
The beneficiation stage may include hydraulic classification, flotation, selective flocculation, PTMS Magnetic Separator, chemical treatment (bleaching) and other operations to remove different impurities. The prepared pulp is first desamped by a rake washing box, floating-tank classifier or cyclone, and then divided into coarse and fine particle grades by continuous centrifuge, hydrocyclone, hydraulic sorter or vibrating fine screen (325 mesh).
PTMS magnetic separation
The fine particles of the classifier are sent to the high gradient PTMS Magnetic Separator to remove the iron and titanium impurities. The products are separated by stirring and scrubbing to carry out iron oxide leaching. The clay with high enough brightness and good coating performance can be directly sent to the leaching operation without magnetic separation and stripping. After leaching, alum is added to the pulp to condense the clay minerals and facilitate dehydration.
what is magnetic separation used for?
Bleached and PTMS Magnetic Separator Iron removed clays are dehydrated using a high speed PTMS centrifuge, rotary vacuum filter or filter press. Dehydrates the filter or filter press. The filter cake is then dispersed into 55% ~ 65% solid slurry, and then spray dried to make loose dry products. Some of the dry product is mixed into the dispersed pulp to make 70% solid and shipped to the paper mill.
