Magnetic separation machine

The wet PTMS magnetic separator process for kaolin mineral separation includes three stages: ore preparation, mineral separation processing and product treatment. The preparation phase includes batching, crushing and ramming operations. Ramming is to mix kaolin ore with water and dispersant in the pulping machine, the ramming operation can make the raw ore dispersed, for the preparation of appropriate fineness kaolin slurry for the separation operation, and at the same time remove large grit sand.

The beneficiation stage may include operations such as hydraulic separation, flotation, selective flocculation, PTMS magnetic separator, and chemical treatment (bleaching) to remove different impurities. The prepared pulp is first desanded by a harrow washing tank, a floating tank classifier or a cyclone, and then divided into coarse and fine grades by a continuous centrifuge, a hydraulic cyclone, a hydraulic separator or a vibrating fine screen.

what is magnetic separation in Kaolin？

The fine grade of the classifier is fed into high gradient PTMS magnetic separator to remove impurities of iron and titanium. After the product is scrubber and stripped, the iron oxide is leached. The clay with high enough brightness and good coating properties is directly sent to the leaching operation without magnetic separation and stripping.
