At present, there are four main processes for purifying quartz sand: washing, PTMS magnetic separator, flotation and acid leaching. According to the amount and types of impurities contained in quartz sand, a single method may not be able to achieve the purpose of purification, so different processes need to be classified and combined in order to achieve better purification effect.

PTMS magnetic separation

Wash +PTMS magnetic separator: The particle size of the quartz sand after grinding is controlled at 0.71mm. The quartz sand is washed and graded by the washing equipment, which is then separated by the magnetic separator for two times and then treated by the classifying equipment. Finally, the quartz sand concentrate and tailings are obtained.
PTMS magnetic separator + flotation: After the magnetic separation of quartz sand, the pulp with iron impurities removed is then entered into the flotation machine for flotation. Finally, other impurities are removed and quartz sand concentrate is obtained.

PTMS magnetic separator + Acid leaching + flotation: The quartz sand pulp is screened and graded, and then subjected to magnetic separation and acid leaching for a week before flotation to produce quartz sand concentrate. The combination of different purification processes is used to achieve the best purification effect of quartz sand, so as to ensure the taste and precision of finished quartz sand.
