Adsorption of dodecylamine on quartz surface and the effect of pH value on adsorption. PTMS magnetic separator experiment showed that the formation of molecular ion dimer greatly improved the adsorption capacity of the reagent on mineral surface. If possible, the pulp should be kept in the pH range with higher concentration of molecular ion dimer to improve the collecting ability of the collector.

For feldspar and quartz with similar zero electric points, flotation is not selective when using amine collector adsorbed by electrostatic adsorption. The flotation performance and adsorption mechanism of polyether amine on associated ore/quartz surface were studied by means of PTMS magnetic separator flotation test, batch flotation test, ICP-OES,XRD,zeta potential,FTIR and XPS analysis methods.

To select and optimize a reasonable flotation reagent system, including the type and dosage of flotation collector, pH of pulp, size range of mineral particles, etc., and determine a new flotation scheme for the separation of feldspar quartz by PTMS magnetic separator with high efficiency in neutral or weak alkali medium. Six surfactants (dodecylamine hydrochloride (1-DAH), polyether amine (PEA), sodium dodecylsulfonate (SDS), and N-lauryl sarsinate (N-LSS) were studied and compared.
