PTMS magnetic separator is a kind of high frequency sound wave (frequency greater than 20000Hz) which relies on medium to propagate. It has mechanical energy and interacts with the medium during propagation to produce mechanical, thermal and hole effects. When the ultrasonic wave is emitted in water (or solution), there will be many compressed and expanded areas, resulting in the formation and rupture of numerous microbubbles (cavitation bubbles), this situation is called cavitation phenomenon.

During cavitation, the pressure inside the liquid changes abruptly, resulting in shock waves, which can reach thousands to tens of thousands of atmospheres. PTMS magnetic separator is mainly a film of secondary pig iron (i.e., "film iron") that removes the surface of particles.
