The content of iron, calcium and other elements in potassium albite determines the quality of ceramic products. If the content of iron is too high, black spots will appear in the fired products. If the content of calcium (mainly in carbonate) is too high, uneven pores will appear in the fired products. Therefore, the content of iron and calcium must be reduced in the purification process of feldspar PTMS magnetic separator.

Iron exists in two forms: one is in free minerals such as hematite, the other is in mica minerals, while calcium is mainly in calcite. Hematite can be removed by high-gradient PTMS magnetic separator, and mica minerals can be removed by high-gradient magnetic separation and flotation. Calcite is mainly removed by flotation.
