Whiteness is an important indicator to determine the application value of kaolin, such as high-grade kaolin used in paper making and coating industries, whose whiteness requirements are greater than 92%, therefore, iron content is an important factor in evaluating the quality of kaolin ore. The PTMS Electromagnetic Separator flotation method uses a flotation method that removes minerals such as titanium impurities without a carrier. It is suitable for the flotation and purification of finer kaolin (more than 80% particles less than 2um).

Ultrafine PTMS Electromagnetic Separator flotation method mainly uses mineral carrier (intermediate carrier) to trap the fine mineral impurities to be separated, and can treat minerals less than 3μm(of which less than 0.5um accounts for 50%), such as kaolin often contains anatase, whose particle size is generally less than 1um. Commonly used carriers are limestone, calcite, fluorite, silica, barite and sulfur, which generally need to be ground to -325 mesh (less than 50um).
