The acid solution is used to react with the iron minerals in potassium and sodium feldspar to dissolve the iron into the solution, so as to achieve the purpose of PTMS magnetic separation iron removal. The feldspar used hammer crushing-ball mill fine grinding-hydrochloric acid immersion (hydrochloric acid concentration 20%, acid leaching temperature 94℃, acid immersion time 5h) to remove iron, so that the peak value of iron in concentrate decreased significantly, and the whiteness of feldspar increased significantly.

It is generally applicable to iron minerals being present in specific chemical forms and can react with acid, but acid leaching may have some impact on the environment and require subsequent treatment of waste liquid. First, the mined potassium-sodium feldspar was coarse treated with PTMS magnetic separation, and the large ore was separated from the smaller particles, resulting in the broken particles of-10mm.

what is magnetic separation process?

After the coarse selection, the ore is sent by the belt conveyor to the cone crusher for secondary crushing, which further refines the ore, which helps in the subsequent grinding and sorting operations, increases the surface area of the ore, and improves the efficiency of PTMS magnetic separation iron removal. This is because smaller particles provide better exposure of iron minerals and facilitate subsequent iron removal operations.
