Handle small scale intermittent pickling tank + PTMS magnetic separation; large scale: continuous high gradient PTMS magnetic separation + automated pickling line. Target purity, ordinary glass sand (Fe ₂ O ₃ <0.05%): magnetic separation + pickling can be used. High purity quartz sand (Fe ₂ O ₃ <0.001%): multistage magnetic separation + high temperature pickling + flotation.

what is magnetic separation used for ？

Magnetite can be used for ordinary magnetic separation, and hematite needs high gradient PTMS magnetic separation or pickling. The operation cost of magnetic separation is low, but the investment is high; pickling requires supporting wastewater treatment system, and the comprehensive cost is high. Choosing the appropriate equipment and process combination according to the specific needs can significantly enhance the economic value of quartz sand.
