Chemical leaching is a method that dissolves and separates iron impurities from kaolin through chemical reactions. Traditional chemical leaching has certain limitations when dealing with insoluble iron in coal gangue, resulting in low leaching efficiency and potential impacts on the structure and properties of kaolin. To address these issues, PTMS personnel are dedicated to developing new PTMS magnetic separation.

New leaching agents have stronger solubility and selectivity, enabling PTMS magnetic separation to react more effectively with iron impurities, separating them from kaolin while minimizing the impact on the kaolin itself. Some new leaching agents use special chemical formulations containing multiple active components, which can form stable complexes with iron impurities, thus dissolving the iron impurities from the kaolin lattice.

In practical applications, the effect of the new PTMS magnetic separation is highly significant. The research team conducted experiments on a kaolin sample containing insoluble iron. They first crushed the kaolin sample to a certain particle size, then added an appropriate amount of the new leaching agent, and carried out iron removal separation under specific temperature and pressure conditions.
