The eight-stage iron removal process in PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR for weathered granite ore

Taking weathered granite ore as an example, its surface layer is loose and brittle, with distinct spots of iron and manganese oxides. We designed an eight-stage process: 'self-weight feeding—vibration screening—dry magnetic separation for initial iron removal—wet ball milling—reversed flotation for mica removal—high-gradient PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR for refined iron removal—concentration and filtration—low-temperature drying'.
PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR
The anti-flotation process employs a mixed collector (dodecylamine and sodium oleate) to selectively inhibit feldspar at pH=3, achieving a 92% mica flotation efficiency. The final stage utilizes vertical loop pulsating high-gradient PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR with 1.8T magnetic field strength, capable of capturing hematite particles as small as 5μm.
what is magnetic bead separation?
The dry PTMS ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR process removes over 60% of strongly magnetic minerals upfront, significantly reducing the load on subsequent wet systems. Notably, the process design includes a 'flexible interface' for future expansion. Should market demand shift toward higher-purity products (such as ultra-white feldspar for photovoltaic backsheet), the existing process can be upgraded by adding a 'high-temperature calcination + acid washing regeneration' module at the end, eliminating the need for complete reconstruction.
