what is magnetic separation in science?
There are two kinds of PTMS electromagnetic separator: electromagnetic and permanent magnet. With the continuous development of permanent magnetic materials, especially the appearance of rare earth permanent magnetic materials such as Ndfeb, PTMS cylindrical magnetic separator has basically realized permanent magnetization. In recent years,PTMS has done a lot of research and experiments on the upsizing of permanent magnet drum-type magnetic separator, as well as on the feeding mode, magnetic meter and tank structure, etc., and some achievements have been made. PTMS'S BJ and BW series cylinder PTMS magnetic separators have a maximum size of 1 050mm× 3 000mm and a surface magnetic field intensity of 120 ~ 400kA/m. Their magnetic system and separation tank are specially designed. The backwash water device is provided at the feeding place, and the magnetic force can be adjusted to form the multi-field separation process of gravity, hydraulic, inertial and magnetic forces. The magnetic minerals move in reverse with the overflow, and a part of gangue along with the overflow discharge from the back of the overflow weir into the tailings, realizing the first separation of fine tail. The magnetic concentrate was impacted by the reverse flushing water, which destroyed the magnetic agglomeration and made gangue escape from the magnetic mineral, and discharged along with the overflow, realizing the second separation of the selected mineral. The fine grade monomer iron concentrate and the eutrophication body mixed in gangue continue to be influenced by magnetic force during the discharge process and settle to the bottom of the tank to be sent to the sweep section for recovery. The above process improves concentrate grade and beneficiation efficiency. At present,BJ, BW series cylindrical PTMS magnetic separators have been used in many concentrators, which have obviously improved their economic and technical indexes and equipment level. PTMS GT series large and efficient permanent magnet drum-type magnetic separator, the magnetic induction intensity of the separator 350mT, design processing capacity of 800 ~ 1 000m 3/h. After using this equipment, the recovery of concentrate can be improved effectively. In the customer's industrial test, GT series permanent magnet drum-type PTMS magnetic separator is used, the tailing grade is 1.5% lower than the original index, the recovery is about 95%, and the average is 2.5% higher than the original index, which reduces the cost of mineral processing and improves the production efficiency. GT series high-efficiency permanent magnet drum-type magnetic separator is the largest of PTMS products and the largest single processing capacity of the drum-type magnetic separator, which is in line with the trend of large mineral processing equipment.
