what is magnetic separation ？

Permanent magnet drum-type PTMS electromagnetic separator is a kind of magnetic separator with self-cleaning ability and excellent cleaning effect. It has two types: self-powered separator and non-powered separator. The drum is mainly composed of feeding mechanism, drum and permanent magnet. What improvements have been made in the design of the transmission mechanism of the permanent magnet drum-type PTMS electromagnetic separator?
1. The pressure door with heavy hammer is a relatively simple feeding mechanism. By adjusting the position of the hammer on the bar, the resistance to incoming material above the door can be changed, so that the material can be piled up appropriately above the door and flow from the surface of the slow-rotating drum in a thin layer after unfolding. Since the sector magnet can absorb iron impurities in the raw material through the cylinder surface, the absorbed iron impurities will fall into the impurity outlet of the equipment by themselves after the absorbed iron impurities turn to the 170° range affected by the magnet on the cylinder surface.
2. The feeding mechanism of the permanent magnet drum-type PTMS electromagnetic separator is relatively simple, and phenomena such as excessively high flow rate of the material in the feeding machine and unilateral movement will lead to the decrease of impurity removal effect and the increase of lower foot content. Therefore, buffer joints should be set in the feeding slide pipe.
3. The length of the vertical section of the pipeline from the buffer joint to the equipment entrance shall be more than 300mm. If the feeding state is normal, the impurity removal efficiency of the permanent magnet drum magnetic separator can usually be maintained at a high level, and the equipment does not need to be adjusted.
4. The PERMANENT magnet drum-type PTMS electromagnetic separator has low dynamic consumption, and the turbo-worm transmission mechanism is relatively light. However, in case of material blocking in the permanent magnet drum-type PTMS electromagnetic separator due to equipment blockage and other reasons, it is very easy for the drum to get stuck and cause damage to the transmission mechanism or motor. Therefore, necessary overload protection shall be carried out for the motor, and necessary protection parts may also be set at the outlet of the equipment or in the transmission mechanism.
5. The gear shifting on the drum surface can avoid the relative sliding between the iron clutter and the cylinder surface, ensuring the effect of clutter removal. However, it is easy to cause the motor to get stuck after material blocking.
