PTMS was entrusted by the concentrator to carry out the test of the new process of beneficiation expansion and transformation. The main characteristics of the process are as follows:
(1) give full play to the desliming function of the PTMS magnetic separator itself, the magnetic separation tailings are only divided into coarse and fine particle size selection, to avoid the direct loss caused by classification overflow.
(2) fine size high intensity magnetic separation operation from the past 1 to 4 times of separation, coarse size high intensity magnetic separation operation using PTMS magnetic separator 1 roughing, the coarse concentrate classification and regrinding and by low intensity magnetic separator in addition to iron, with PTMS magnetic separation machine for 1 time and 1 sweep, Thus high recovery rate and high concentrate grade are guaranteed in high intensity magnetic separation operation. It can be seen that the amount of fine minerals in flotation operation increases from 43% to 72% (37.65/52.55 = 72.10%), and the amount of coarse minerals in flotation operation is as high as 77% (36.83/47.78 = 77.08%).

Under the premise of ensuring the concentrate grade reaches more than 47%, the recovery rate of flotation operation can be guaranteed to be about 70%, and the whole process recovery rate can reach 52.17%. PTMS magnetic separator can remove the iron inside (Fe2O3). The plant has achieved an annual output of 480,000 tons of high quality concentrate and is expected to achieve an annual output of more than 500,000 tons of high quality concentrate in the next year. At present, the actual mineral recovery rate of the whole process in production is about 40%, although much higher than before, but due to the restrictions of production conditions, many operation links have not reached the best condition, and there is a great potential to improve the recovery rate of beneficiation.
