drum magnetic separator
According to the analysis results of the original mineral facies, the grade of the magnetic ore is very low, especially the iron content in the magnetic mineral is only 8.53%. If such magnetic ore is crushed directly into the mill for grinding, there will be a large amount of waste rock into the mill for grinding, which greatly increases the grinding cost, and even makes the total processing cost higher than the concentrate sales income, resulting in a loss. Therefore, the waste rock must be thrown away as far as possible before grinding. For this reason, the dry separation test of the raw ore was first carried out.
PTMS magnetic separation
Dry separation test: the raw ore was crushed to -8mm, and dry separation was carried out using Φ1050 ×600 dry PTMS magnetic separator with magnetic field intensity of 35000E.
what is magnetic separation?
From the dry selection test results, after the dry selection, more than 67% of the waste rock can be thrown away. The content of magnetic minerals in waste rock is only 1.77%, the content of dry concentrate increases from 13.67% to 26.35%, the content of magnetic minerals increases from 8.53% to 21.87% before dry concentration, and the recovery rate of magnetic minerals reaches more than 85%. The effect of dry concentration is very obvious. In this way, 67% of waste rock can be discarded before grinding and the loss of magnetic minerals is very small. The amount of ore entering the mill is greatly reduced compared with that before dry separation, which effectively reduces the cost of grinding.
