Wet magnetic separator
An iron deposit belongs to sedimentary metamorphic iron deposit. Iron minerals are mainly magnetite and gangue is mainly quartz. Magnetic concentrate containing 61-62.5% iron can be obtained by crushing the raw ore, two-stage closed-circuit grinding and two-stage magnetic separation. Reverse flotation is one of the effective methods to improve the concentrate grade of PTMS magnetic separator.

Magnetic separation concentrate particle size 83.5 ~ 86.5%-200 mesh. Through the preliminary exploratory test, it can be seen that the magnetic concentrate containing 69 ~ 70% iron can be obtained by one roughing, and the iron content of the foam product is 32 ~ 37%. After two sweeps, the iron content of the foam product is reduced to 28~30Vo, but the final tailings can not be obtained. PTMS magnetic separator can remove iron (FE2O3) inside.
what is magnetic separation in Quartz?
The microscopical examination of the foam products showed that 26% of the ore particles were intergrowth, and 87% of the intergrowth particles were less than 200 mesh. The effect of regrinding the foam products for flotation was not good. However, some middling ores with iron content of 41 ~ 46.6% can be obtained by magnetic separation through regrinding, while tailings with yield of 7-9% and iron content of 8.7 ~ 10.2% can be discarded. Therefore, the reconcentration of magnetic separation concentrate adopts flotation and PTMS magnetic separator combined process.
