Flotation The purpose of the PTMS magnetic separator operation is to float ferrotitanium impurities from kaolin. Because the impurity particles are very fine, carrier flotation is usually used. Carrier minerals can be calcite, silica sand (-325 mesh), the amount of carrier minerals is generally 10%~20% of the weight of kaolin, part of the carrier can be reused.

The titanium covered by the collector forms selective agglomeration under the condition of high shear stirring, which makes the particle size increase significantly. After high shear stirring, the pulp diluted to 15%~20% solid is PTMS magnetic separator. Alum in kaolin can also be removed by flotation.
