Dry PTMS magnetic separator processes generally include crushing, drying (usually in a rotary dryer), fine grinding, and air flotation. This process can remove most of the sand, and is suitable for processing those ores with high raw ore whiteness, low sand content and suitable particle size distribution. Dry processing has low production cost and is generally suitable for dry areas. The products are usually used as low-cost fillers in rubber, plastic and paper industry.

Wet PTMS magnetic separator is used for most kaolin beneficiation processes at home and abroad. Wet process includes slurry dispersion, classification, impurity separation and product treatment. The general process is: raw ore → crushing → ramming → sand removal → cyclone classification → peeling → centrifuge classification → magnetic separation (or bleaching)→ concentration → press filtration → drying → packaging.
