The content of iron, calcium and other elements in potassium feldspar determines the quality of ceramic products. If the iron content is too high, black spots will appear in the fired products. If the calcium content is too high (mainly in the form of carbonate), the fired products will have uneven pores.

Iron exists in two main forms: One exists in free minerals such as red limonite, the other occurs in mica minerals, and calcium is mainly present in calcite. Red limonite can be removed by high gradient PTMS magnetic separator, mica minerals can be removed by high gradient magnetic separation and flotation, and calcite is mainly removed by flotation.
