The sintering whiteness test of the concentrate product obtained by PTMS magnetic separation of kaolin shows that the sintering whiteness is 92.4%, the Fe2O3 content is reduced from 1.27% before magnetic separation to 0.41%, the iron removal rate is 67.7%, and the TiO2 content is reduced from 0.29% to 0.101%.

PTMS magnetic separation


The simple PTMS magnetic separation of kaolin raw ore was purified to obtain the magnetic separation material. The obtained magnetic separation material was prepared with water to form a mixed slurry with 1% solid content, and then 4% mass of magnetic separation material was added. The slurry of sodium hexametaphosphate was stirred for 20min and wet-sifted for 325 mesh. The slurry is screened for high gradient magnetic separation. The magnetic field intensity of the high gradient magnetic separator is controlled to be 1.4T, and the slurry flow rate is 1.0cm/s.

what is magnetic separation process?


The concentrate slurry was obtained by magnetic separation of the slurry through PTMS magnetic separation with high gradient. The amount of alum added is 3% of the mass of the concentrate slurry. After the concentrate slurry is added with alum flocculation, the magnetic concentrate is obtained by press filtration, drying and packaging. Calcined kaolin is obtained by calcination of magnetic concentrate, and the calcined kaolin can be tested for whiteness.
